As the year comes to an end (hallelujah), we’re excited for a fresh start and, as always, a much-needed wardrobe refresh. While we don’t see WFH essentials fully going away anytime soon, there’s plenty of non-loungewear style to look forward to in 2022. But before we jump into next year, let’s raise a glass to the chaos that was 2021. It wasn’t all bad - we saw Bennifer 2.0, Britney was finally freed, Adele dropped a new album, and hello, Kravis. With that, we’re ready to say one final thank you, next to last year, and looking forward to our most stylish year yet. Here are 5 accessory trends we’ll be investing in, come January 1st.
Sophisticated Shoulder Bags
Shoulder bags are still going strong! We’re loving a sophisticated silhouette with contemporary details to balance out a ladylike look with a dose of cool. The Crosstown hobo does just that. Sleek angles and soft leather make this style a closet staple that you’ll keep coming back to year after year.
Bottomless Tote Bags
Bottomless carry-all’s are exactly what we need in such unknown times (bottomless mimosas too, in our opinion) - literally, just pack everything you might need and then you’ll be prepared for whatever the day throws at you. Bonus points for extra hand sanitizer to share with friends. The Hudson tote is crafted with soft, lightweight leather that was meant for everyday wear. Complete with a removable zip pouch, you have space for it all.
Boot Basics
Boots are a staple in any fall/winter wardrobe and can often be carried into all seasons if you go for the right style. Sometimes, the simpler the shoe, the better. The Ramona boot is a classic Chelsea style with a low stacked heel and side zip, for an accessible, easy to walk in shoe. It quite literally pairs with everything, so no excuses. You need them.
Bright & Bold
We’re normally all about the basics - black, grey, cream. But now more than ever, we’re loving a bold pop of color to inject some brightness (and fun) into our lives! Color instantly brings a cheerful feeling and can seriously elevate an otherwise neutral look. Start small with the Cobble Hill clutch in colorblock combos, or try the Soho mini tote for a bigger & bolder approach!
Multi-Functional Styles
We’re all about bags that can do it all. A shoulder bag that doubles as a crossbody? Check. A convertible tote that can be worn 3 ways? Check. The more multi-functional, the better. And we’ve got plenty of styles that hit the mark. Case in point: the Chelsea convertible hobo goes from shoulder bag to backpack with a simple strap transition. There’s no excuse to not snag this 2-for-1 style.
